Admittedly this is one of the first times since first year I have attached cuffs, collars and zips so to say the least I was rusty on this. Lecturers guided me through it and I made sure I took photos to help me!
To add the zip into my jacket, I needed to 'mitre' it. Admittedly it did go a tiny bit wrong because I cut in the wrong direction BUT you always go about 1cm down from the initial notch for the ending of the zip! Definitely learning from my mistakes!
I need to attach all my elastic like this ( which is going at the hems and cuffs of my jacket, hem of dress and waistband of leggings. This makes is more sturdy and looks nice because you don't get such a ridge from it.
